Ô Sea
I lose myself in your ebb and flow, O Sea... I see your waves crashing, much like the seasons of my own life. You stir a restless curiosity within me; you are my great passion, yet I still fear drowning within your depths.
Perhaps, at times, your waves are more merciful than the strikes of life itself.
In your silence, as in your roar, you are the friend of all my seasons—the keeper of secrets in your deepest abyss. When tears glisten in my eyes, the sight of your embrace with the setting sun acts as a balm for the many scars upon my heart. You are the hand that wipes my grief away, turning my tears into morning dew on a warm summer night."
